Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

Please contact the practice for advice on Travel Vaccination requirements as soon as possible after arranging your trip. It is important you advise us of any travel abroad as early as possible - at least 6 weeks before you travel.  Many vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine.   We may not be able to help you at all if you leave things too late.

Some vaccine require more than one dose and the protective effect of most vaccines takes 10 days to develop. Yellow Fever vaccination certificates only become valid 10 days following vaccination.

Standard travel vaccinations are provided on the NHS for patients registered with the surgery, however, a fee will be charged for other vaccines (e.g. Rabies, Hepatitis B). Patients from other surgeries will be charged for all vaccines.

Prescriptions for anti-malarial medications are issued on a private basis as these are not covered by the NHS.
